MME Challenge# 10

I have always been a huge fan of My Mind's Eye and I was very excited when they started a blog. Every two weeks, or so, they post challenges . I finally was able to participate and created this layout.

My Mind's Eye: patterned paper, clear die cut, ribbon and chipboard stars, American Crafts: thickers, Basic Grey: stickers and Luxe Design: label

The challenge is to use the song Dream Big by Ryan Shupe and the RubberBand for inspiration and use this sketch.

If you get the chance to play you have until tomorrow at midnight to participate.

Happy Monday!

I usually have Mondays off but I had to work today so it has thrown me all out of wack. I even forgot to take Isaiah to scouts cause I was thinking it was Tuesday. Oh well, there is always next week.
But I am remembering to post some of the layout I made this weekend, which I am so sure you were all waiting on, LOL.
I have been wanting to scrap this one for awhile but really wasn't motivated to do so. But these LYB Generation Z line made it so much easier.

Little Yellow Bicycle: patterned paper and label stickers, American Crafts: thickers, Heidi Swapp: journal spot, Cosmo Cricket: little alphas, Scrapworks: label, Making Memory: brad, SEI: ticket, cardstock

And who can resist some MME! I have been waiting to get the chance to use this line. It is just too cute!

My Mind's Eye: patterned paper and chipboard die cuts, LYB: transparency, American Crafts: thickers, Luxe Design: sticker label, Cosmo Cricket: ribbon, cardstock
These are just some older Basic Grey layouts I had done but have yet to post. If you check out the Older but Goodies thread on the Croppin Paradise forums, you can see what some of the other DT did with this Basic Grey Origins line.

Basic Grey: patterned paper, letters and 3D stickers, Making Memories: tiny alphas

Basic Grey: patterned paper, letters and 3D sticker, Studio Calico: letters, Cosmo Cricket: felt ribbon, cardstock

Basic Grey: patterned paper and 3D sticker, Sizzix die cut letters, Kraft and cream cardstock

Wow that is a long post! For those still reading I hope you have a good night or day depending on when you are reading. :)

great weekend

This has been a great weekend. Started off with some scrapping Friday night, that was real fun. I had bought some new goodies last month that I hadn't really had the chance to play with. I will post those later because I need to finish up some journaling on them. But here is a layout and cards that I haven't got around to posting yet. I made this one for a sketch challenge last month at Croppin Paradise.

Sassfras Lass: patternend paper, Doodle Bug: letters, American Crafts: thickers, Heidi Swapp: bling, October Afternoon: label sticker

I also go to play with some Basic Grey Woolies. Those were lots of fun.

Basic Grey: felt woolies & patternend paper, Jenni Bowlin: bingo card, Heidie Swapp: bling, cardstock

Basic Grey: felt woolies & paptterned paper, October Afternoon: label sticker, ribbon and

Also this weekend Preston and I finally made to Calera for A Day Out With Thomas. We have been trying for the past two years and it finally worked out this year. Now Preston's love for Thomas has been slowly dying out seeing as he is five and a big boy now, LOL, but he was still just as excited to see that big blue engine pull up on the track.

We spent the whole day playing games, seeing trains, and taking pictures with some of Sodor's friendliest faces.

We even got to ride Thomas's train! We got to sit in an open air car right behind him. Preston couldn't get enough.

After a fun filled day we are taking it easy today. I will finish up the layouts I have and then I will be picking up Isaiah later. He spent the weekend camping at Shiloh in Tennesse, with Troop 2. I need to start sending a camera with him so that he can take pictures. I think it is great that through boy scouts he is getting to travel and see lots of new places. And I can go on about that but that will have to be for another blog post seeing as this one has dragged on this long.

Have a great week everyone!
